Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., believes in the power that knowledge gives young men – which is why Education is one of our organization’s pillars. With that in mind, the Rho Beta Sigma Alumni Chapter is pleased to be accepting applications for the 2023 Scholarship for Academic Excellence.
We desire to give scholarships in the amount of $1,914 to three graduating male Gwinnett County high school seniors in Spring 2023.
The winners will meet the following program guidelines:
- A record of volunteerism in the community through school and/or non-school sponsored activities
- Participation in at least one extracurricular school activity
- A minimum overall GPA of 2.5 (unofficial transcript submission is required)
- Plans to attend a college/university or technical school
- Complete a 500 to 700 word essay answering the following prompt: “When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? How has that dream evolved over time, and what factors have motivated those changes?”
The application deadline is March 17, 2023. The recipients of the scholarships will be notified on March 24, 2023.
