The presence of positive male role models is critical in this day and time. As part of Glenn C. Jones Middle School’s Restorative Discipline Circle, Brothers Chris Pugh and Hayden McCall spoke with male students on February 22, 2023, about goal-setting techniques and positive behavior. On a monthly basis, male speakers join the circle to emphasize the importance of establishing expectations both in and out of the school environment. Restorative circles, which give everyone an opportunity to speak and be heard, promote strategies to develop relationships, build communities, and respond to conflicts and problems.
