The Gwinnett Sigmas were proud to support the sixth annual 5K Walk for Diabetes, which was sponsored by the Diabetes You Can Win Foundation, Inc. Held at Tribble Mill Park in Lawrenceville, Georgia, on November 9, 2024, the event drew a wide range of vendors and provided diabetes and blood pressure screenings, as well as information on healthy food and lifestyle choices.
Diabetes You Can Win, which was founded by Lisa Graham, the wife of chapter member Bro. Jan Graham, seeks to provide access to diabetes education, resources, and screenings to enhance the health and quality of life for community members.
