The Gwinnett alumni chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, Rho Beta Sigma, showed up in high-fashion, bowties and gowns to celebrate their 10th charter anniversary with a benefit Gala. Divine Nine members and community supporters came from all around the Metro Atlanta area to help celebrate Rho Beta Sigma and its charter members. The gala highlighted a silent auction from which the proceeds will benefit Rho Beta Sigma’s annual book scholarship where three deserving young men will receive a $1,914 scholarship in 2026.

Rho Beta Sigma was chartered October 8, 2015 by ten brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated who saw an opportunity to bring the fraternity’s programs, Bigger and Better Business, Education, and Social Action, to the Gwinnett County communities.

Rho Beta Sigma has been busy in its first decade with many endeavors and a few listed below:

  • 6 Scholarships
  • Sigma Beta Club established to mentor young men
  • Adopted Anderson Livesy Elementary School which has been the recipient of a $10,000 grant from PBS Impact Foundation in 2025
  • Adopted Technology Parkway in Norcross, GA for quarterly trash pickup
  • Established beneficial relationships with community partners such as Helping Mamas, Gwinnett Sheriff’s Department
  • Over 15,000 community service hours around Gwinnett County
