It is with immense pride and heartfelt joy that I welcome you to a truly momentous occasion – the 10-Year Charter Anniversary celebration of the Rho Beta Sigma Alumni Chapter of our beloved Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.!
A decade ago, on Thursday, October 8, 2015, eleven visionary brothers laid the foundation for what has become a beacon of service, scholarship, and brotherhood in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Tonight, we gather not only to commemorate that significant day but to celebrate the incredible journey we have undertaken together.
The Rho Beta Sigma Alumni Chapter proudly invites you to an evening of joy, reflection, and excitement. Over the past ten years, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to serving Gwinnett County and the surrounding communities. From impactful mentorship programs to vital community outreach initiatives, our chapter has strived to embody the high ideals of our fraternity: “Culture for Service and Service for Humanity.” Tonight, we honor that journey and the collective efforts of our members, past and present, while eagerly looking ahead to an even brighter future filled with continued impact.

A Brief History
Since its founding on October 8, 2015, the Rho Beta Sigma Alumni Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. has remained steadfast in its commitment to Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service. Chartered by 11 visionary brothers, the chapter became the sixth alumni chapter in the metro Atlanta area, quickly establishing itself as a beacon of leadership and community engagement.
The charter members are: Bro. Terrence M. Trimble, Bro. Dr. Lawrence Taylor, Bro. Gary T. Graham, Bro. Andrew Sims, Bro. Scott Peter’s, Bro. Richard J. Bradley, Bro. Brian Coleman, Bro. Desamka Meyers, Bro. Lemell Overton, Bro. Andrew Anderson, and Bro. C. Ryan Perry.
Under the current leadership of Bro. Christopher Pugh, Rho Beta Sigma, has flourished, growing to over 75 active members who dedicate their time and efforts to uplifting their community and inspiring future generations. The chapter’s influence is deeply felt through its initiatives, particularly at Anderson-Livsey Elementary School, where its dedication led to the renaming of the parent center in recognition of its impactful service.
As Rho Beta Sigma celebrates a decade of excellence, the chapter reflects on its achievements while setting its sights on the future. The 10-year anniversary celebration serves as an opportunity to honor the hard work that has shaped its legacy and to propel its mission forward. Funds raised from this event will support scholarships, Sigma Beta Club members, and key programming for 2026, ensuring continued growth and meaningful contributions to the community.
